Where are the mantels made?
Omega Mantels are distributed throughout North America. Our primary showroom and manufacturing plant is located in Woodbridge, just north of Toronto. Our skilled artisans and dedicated employees are always more than willing to work closely with builders, architects, designers and home owners in order to create that "timeless, unique" piece.
How much does it weigh?
Our mantles typically weigh only 200-400 pounds, and can be installed by a crew of two people in half the time of a carved stone mantel.
Do I need to respect any clearance requirements for gas or wood burning fireplaces?
Our mantels are certified as non-combustible, these products don't burn, even when exposed to a blow torch.
They also don't form hair line cracks or discolor under normal use. They can be used around any gas or wood burning fireplaces.
Are your mantels fireproof?
Yes, they are 100% fireproof, with zero contribution to flame spread measured by ASTM 136. Our specially designed products are made from non-combustible materials that handle high temperature fireplaces without discoloration or cracking.
Can I paint a cast stone mantel?
Yes, you may paint a cast stone mantel, but only with non-combustible stove paints. Any other paint will start to peel quickly because of the heat.

How long does it take to receive a mantel?
Three pieces mantels and picture frame mantels have different production time. After your order is placed, a three pieces mantel generally ship within 10 business days. As for the picture frame mantels, they take 6 weeks for production. Transit time varies between 5 and 11 days depending upon your location in the US or Canada. You will receive an email at time of shipment with tracking information.

What should I use to clean and maintain my cast stone mantel?
Because our products are sealed at the factory, there is no regular maintenance schedule suggested or required. Just dust or vacuum the mantel as you would any other piece of fine furniture; this will not only keep the mantel looking like new, it should also handle most basic stains or smudge marks. For finger print or shoe mark, the Magic sponge Mr Clean does a very nice job.
What happens if the mantel is scratched or chipped?
Our cast stone mantels are very resistant to physical damage. Nevertheless, careless installation or other unexpected events can happen. In such cases, use the grout supplied with every mantel, to fill in any indentation; once the grout dries, it will blend in with the rest of the surrounding surface. Resealing may be required depending on the severity of the dent.
Can I use other materials to fill in the opening?
Yes, you may choose any commonly used materials such as granite, marble, travertine, slate, ceramic tiles etc.; surrounds have a 1'' reveal
Can your mantles be repaired if damaged?
Yes, Cast products were historically difficult to repair, but we developed products for just that situation. Many small scratches can be sanded away with 80-220 grit sandpaper much like marble. We always include a repair kit with instructions for minor chips and screw holes, including a blemish hiding compound. For larger problems, you can contact our support team at 1-888-987-4123.
About the Warranty

What is your Warranty?
OMEGA MANTELS warrants all of its products to be free from defect within accepted industry standards and will replace product if defective and manufacturer is notified of defect by purchaser within 48 hours of receipt of material. In the case the warranty becomes effective, the customer will be responsible of disposing of the current mantel and OMEGA MANTELS will ship a new one.
OMEGA MANTELS makes no other warranties with respect to this product, express or implied. Manufacturer's liability shall be limited in all events to supplying sufficient product to repair or replace the specific defective units.
Acceptance and use of this product absolves OMEGA MANTELS from any other liability, from whatever source, including liability for incidental, consequential or resultant damages whether due to breach of warranty or negligence. Product must be inspected by purchaser prior to installation.
This warranty may not be modified or extended by representatives of OMEGA MANTELS, it's distributors or dealers.

All sales are final. No returns will be accepted. In the case where the warranty applies, you can dispose of the mantel in whichever way you see fit while waiting for your new piece or full mantel to arrive.
